Cleaning You Can Count On.

Every facility is different. These answers explain how Cortex works in general; your walkthrough and proposal define the exact standard for your building.

01

Getting started

What to expect before a proposal is approved.

What types of facilities does Cortex serve?+

Cortex supports offices, multifamily communities, restaurants and hospitality spaces, fitness and recreation venues, schools, churches, warehouses and other commercial properties across Greater Chicagoland.

How do I request a commercial cleaning proposal?+

Start with a short conversation and an on-site walkthrough. We review the facility, current challenges, preferred schedule and service priorities before preparing a written, site-specific proposal.

Why is a walkthrough necessary?+

Square footage alone does not show traffic patterns, floor types, security requirements, operating hours or the details that matter most to your team. A walkthrough lets us build a realistic scope and staffing plan.

Can Cortex take over from an existing cleaning company?+

Yes. We can review the current scope, identify recurring gaps and plan a controlled transition designed to protect continuity while the new program is launched.

02

Scope, scheduling and pricing

How your program is built around the facility.

How much does commercial cleaning cost?+

Pricing depends on facility size, service frequency, building use, required labor, floor types, supply expectations and specialty needs. Cortex provides a written custom proposal after learning the facility rather than offering a one-size-fits-all price.

How often can cleaning be scheduled?+

Programs may be scheduled daily, multiple times per week or at another recurring frequency. We align the schedule to traffic, operating hours, desired standards and budget.

Can your team clean outside our business hours?+

Yes. We regularly build evening, overnight, daytime and weekend schedules around the way a facility operates and any access or security requirements.

Are cleaning products and equipment included?+

Standard cleaning products and equipment are generally included in recurring programs unless the proposal identifies a facility-specific requirement or exception. Consumable restroom and breakroom supplies can be addressed separately in the scope.

Can recurring janitorial and specialty services be combined?+

Yes. Many clients use Cortex for recurring janitorial work plus carpet cleaning, floor care, window cleaning, deep cleaning, post-construction cleanup or other planned projects.

03

Quality, staffing and accountability

How Cortex keeps the standard from slipping after launch.

How does Cortex maintain consistent quality?+

Every account is supported by three levels of accountability: the on-site team, dedicated supervision and operations or ownership. Written scopes, training, inspections and direct communication keep the program aligned.

Will we have a dedicated point of contact?+

Yes. Your program includes a clear service contact, with access to operations and ownership when an issue needs escalation or a priority changes.

What happens when service falls short of the standard?+

The issue is assigned to the account leader, addressed promptly and reviewed with the team. We also look at the route, training, supplies, staffing or scope conditions that caused it so the same problem does not become routine.

What happens when a regular cleaner is absent?+

Cortex arranges trained replacement coverage so your team is not asked to coordinate our staffing or accept a missed service day.

Are your cleaning professionals screened and insured?+

Cortex uses background-checked cleaning professionals and maintains commercial insurance coverage. Account-specific documentation can be reviewed during the proposal and onboarding process.

What happens during the first 30 days?+

The launch period is used to train routes, verify timing, inspect results, collect feedback and make practical adjustments. Any agreed changes are documented so the final operating standard remains clear.

04

Service area and special requests

Coverage, projects and changing facility needs.

What areas does Cortex serve?+

Cortex serves commercial facilities across Greater Chicagoland, including Chicago, the western and northwest suburbs, DuPage County, the Fox Valley, the North Shore and surrounding communities. Contact us to confirm coverage for a specific location.

Can you support multiple locations?+

Yes. We can evaluate multi-site needs and build consistent scopes, reporting expectations and service contacts while accounting for the operational differences at each facility.

Do you handle one-time or emergency cleaning needs?+

Cortex supports planned one-time work and may be able to accommodate urgent needs based on timing, location, staffing and the type of service required. Call for the fastest assessment.

Can the scope change as our facility changes?+

Yes. Service plans can be adjusted as occupancy, traffic, operating hours or priorities change. We review the requested change, confirm any impact on labor or pricing and document the updated scope.
